In a world where snack aisles are overflowing with processed options, there’s something wonderfully grounding about baking your nutritious treats at home. This recipe for Oat-Almond Savory Spiced Crackers—made with oat flour, almond flour, flaxseeds, sesame seeds, and kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)—is a perfect blend of wholesome ingredients, bold flavor, and functional nutrition. Easy to make and deeply satisfying, these crackers are ideal for anyone looking to add healthy, flavorful snacks to their diet without compromising crunch or taste.

Oat Flour: Rich in soluble fiber (especially beta-glucan), oats help lower cholesterol and regulate blood sugar levels.
Almond Flour: Loaded with vitamin E, magnesium, and healthy monounsaturated fats, almonds support heart and brain health.
Flaxseed Powder: Flaxseeds are a plant-based source of omega-3 fatty acids. They are also known for their lignans, antioxidants that may help balance hormones.
Sesame Seeds: These tiny seeds contain calcium, iron, and zinc, which are essential for bone health and immunity.
Dried Fenugreek leaves (Kasuri Methi): Fenugreek may help regulate blood sugar and aid digestion. Its distinct aroma adds a sophisticated depth to the flavor profile.
Turmeric: Known for its anti-inflammatory properties thanks to curcumin, turmeric lends warmth and a vibrant golden hue.
One of the best aspects of these Oat-Almond Savory Spiced Crackers is how approachable they are. The process is pleasantly straightforward and doesn’t require any special equipment. Even novice bakers can master this recipe on their first try. It doesn't rely on rising agents, chilling time, or tricky techniques. The dough is forgiving and easy to work with. Rolling it between parchment sheets means no mess and no sticking—plus, cleanup is a breeze.
Depending on your preference, you can customize the shape and thickness: thinner for a crispier texture or slightly thicker if you want something sturdier to dip into hummus or guacamole. Since the dough holds together well, kids can get involved, too—rolling and cutting the shapes can be a fun family activity.

Ingredients
1 cup oat flour
½ cup almond flour
1 tbsp flaxseed powder
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi), crushed
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp salt (or to taste)
⅓ to ½ cup water (add gradually, as needed)
Directions
Mix the dry ingredients:
Combine oat flour, almond flour, flaxseed powder, sesame seeds, crushed fenugreek leaves, turmeric, and salt in a bowl. Mix well.
Add water gradually:
Pour in water a little at a time, mixing with a spoon or your hands until a soft but non-sticky dough forms.
Roll the dough:
Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out evenly, about ⅛ inch thick for crisp crackers.
Cut into shapes:
Remove the top parchment and cut the dough into squares or desired shapes using a knife or cookie cutter.
Bake:
Transfer (with the bottom parchment) onto a baking tray.
Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 20–25 minutes, or until firm and golden at the edges.
Flip halfway through if you want extra crunch.
Cool and store:
Let cool completely—they crisp up more as they cool. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
These crackers are incredibly versatile. Enjoy them:
🌿 With a dollop of hummus or labneh
🌿Crumbled over soups or salads for texture
🌿As a base for avocado slices
🌿Or simply on their own with a warm cup of tea
